"Reach One, Help One" is the motto of Atlanta Achieve One, Inc. The organzation is the inspired vision of a group of professional men who saw that the youth of the community, young African American men in particular, are at risk of becoming a generation left behind.

It Is Atlanta Achieve One's vision to see young African American youth grow and learn in order to become productive, thriving and contributing members of their community.

The reality is that their futures are threatened. They face a future that is all too often one of high school drop out, ex-offender, low income job candidate or under-employed or unemployed. Atlanta Achieve One is determined to change that future.

Youth, especially young males, first need to know that someone cares and second, that doors can open for them, not slam in their faces. Partnering with schools and families, Atlanta Achieve One offers consistent, persistant and enhanced focus on education and social development. Volunteers serve as mentors and role models, helping young men make sound choices so that they can reach their potential.

Participating young men choose to go to college or technical school, or they choose careers in the military. Ultimately, Atlanta Achieve One expects to change lives and to see young men who are thriving, productive and successful contributors to their families, communities and to their country.
